	Welcome to the Western Maquiladora Trade Association web site and to our organization. As Maquiladora plant operators in Baja California, the WMTA provides you with an English speaking connection to what is going on in our industry and our region. Our meetings and events are designed to provide a forum for exchanging information, making contacts and building relationships among peers, government officials, supporting industries and other groups.
Dale Robinson WMTA President	The WMTA serves as your voice in the Maquila industry in the United States and across the border in Mexico through to our close ties to CNIME (The Mexican National Maquila Association.)
We also work closely with our partner associations such as the Asociación de la Industria Maquiladora Zona Costa de Baja California (AIM) in Tijuana. Nationally we work with the Consejo Nacional de la Industria Maquiladora de Exportacion, (CNIME). In the US with more specialized groups such as the Japanese Maquiladora Association (JMA) and the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce and others. We encourage you to contact us, to join in one of our meetings, to build supportive relationships with your peers and especially to join the WMTA. Your membership and participation is what lends strength to our collective voice in both the US and Mexico.
